10 MHz – 21 GHz Programmable Attenuators

The MLAT-Series of Programmable Attenuators are general purpose single channel programmable attenuators suitable for a wide range of applications. They provide 0 to 30 dB attenuation in 0.5 dB steps over the 10 MHz to 21 GHz frequency range. The attenuator is housed in a compact package with SMA Female RF Connectors. A standard 10 pin and a USB Micro B are provided for power and control ports. The attenuator can be controlled via USB or SPI. Full software support is provided in the user manual and can be downloaded from our web site. Optional temperature ranges are available on special order.

RMS Responding Power Sensor: Defense, Test, and More

LadyBug Technologies’ LB5940A patented, thermally stable USB RF Power Sensor is for defense, EMC testing, ATE, radar applications and more. The sensor’s broad frequency range combined with exceptional sensitivity and wide dynamic range make it ideal for high accuracy applications.

The LB5940A sensor is a composite USB device with both USBTMC and USB HID interfaces. Also available is option SPI, which provides direct connect TTL interfaces. Both I2C and SPI are available delivering a calibrated power measurement to microcontrollers FPGAs etc. These allow users to build compact portable ATE equipment.

Phase Locked Oscillators

ERAVANT’s newly released phase locked oscillator family (SOP) utilizes high performance DRVCO (Dielectric Resonator Voltage Controlled Oscillator) technology to generate high quality microwave signals. There are numerous models listed on our website that are either externally referenced, internally referenced, or a combination of both. The externally referenced SOPs require a 10, or 50, or 100 MHz external referenced crystal oscillator to achieve exceptional phase noise performance. These oscillators are hermetically sealed to satisfy the rigorous environmental requirements.


End Launch Connectors

Southwest Microwave has expanded its high-performance solutions with new standard block thread-in end launch connectors, offering robust performance and 1:2:1 VSWR to 110 GHz for board thicknesses up to 100 mils.

The connector’s unique two-piece bottom clamp maintains the ground between the connector and the circuit board. Combining the bottom clamp with the solderless pin allow for ease of removal and greater reusability. The connector pin is designed with an interference fit to the circuit board trace, requiring no solder. The connectors feature four pin and dielectric combinations to accommodate a wide variety of microwave substrates.

Power Sensor Software Controls Multiple Sensors & Measurements

LadyBug Technologies’ Precision Power Meter PMA-12 supports a broad range of Power Sensors and functions. The application provides an ideal user interface for measuring a host of RF signal parameters. The flexible software reads and determines the sensor’s specifications and delivers the full capability. Average mode supports measurements below -60 dBm including triggering, multi-sensor calculations, logging and strip chart capabilities.

Sector Antenna

KP’s new tripleband sector antenna allows for three radios to operate with only one sector antenna, reducing leased space on the tower and installation costs. This antenna supports 2x2 MIMO in 2.4 GHz, 4x4 MIMO in 3.5 GHz, and 2x2 MIMO in 5 GHz bands. It comes with three radio mounting slots that work with Ubiquiti radios and KP’s radio brackets for Cambium’s PMP450 and 450I, and ePMP2000 radios. This tripleband sector features a 65-degree beamwidth and high front-to-back that allows for six sectors to be used with frequency-reuse three (ABCABC). It is constructed of heavy-grade, powder-coated mounting brackets.

PMI Model: APD-8-0R523G-292FF is an eight-way power divider operating over the 0.5 to 23.0 GHz frequency range. This model has a max insertion loss of 2.0 dB from 2.0 to 8.0 GHz and 3.2 dB Max between 8.0 to 18.0 GHz. The compact 5.0" x 3.7" x .43" housing with removable 2.92 mm female connectors.

Qorvo® to Create State-of-the-Art Semiconductor Packaging Center

Qorvo® has been selected by the U.S. government to create a State-of-the-Art (SOTA) Heterogeneous Integrated Packaging (SHIP) RF production and prototyping center. The SHIP program will ensure that microelectronics packaging expertise and leadership is available for both U.S. defense contractors and commercial clients that require design, validation, assembly, test and manufacturing of next-generation RF components.

The exclusive SHIP Other Transaction Agreement (OTA), worth up to $75 million, was awarded to Qorvo by the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Crane Division. This program is funded by the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering’s (OUSD R&E) Trusted and Assured Microelectronics Program (T&AM), and is administered by the Strategic & Spectrum Missions Advanced Resilient Trusted System (S²MARTS) Other Transaction Agreement (OTA), managed by National Security Technology Accelerator (NSTXL).

Under the SHIP program, Qorvo will design and deliver the highest levels of heterogeneous packaging integration. This is essential to meet the size, weight, power and cost (SWAP-C) requirements for next-generation phased array radar systems, unmanned vehicles, electronic warfare platforms and satellite communications.
